6.) Blessed

As I was sitting in my car between classes on Thursday I realized what a blessing it is to be alive. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I could hear the children playing at the daycare.
While I sat there for some time I thought about all the blessings that I have in my life. My daughter is the biggest and most important one. I thank God that He has given me a healthy, smart and beautiful child. Another blessing is my family and friends. My other gifts from God is the ability to pay my bills, put clothes on my childs back, keep a roof over our head, and that I have a job(2 actually). Oh ya, the ability to go back to school too. God has given me so much to be thankful for. I even have to thank Him for the two jobs because that is what pays the my bills. Now a days that is a blessing because some individuals don't have that choice or ability.
My question to you is have you thanked God today? What gifts has God blessed you with?

You are so right. It's rare that we stop and think about all that God has given us, because we're usually too busy asking Him for more. Great blog.

Thank you so much for your thoughts. It is so true that we never stop and thank God for everything he has given to us and blessed us with. We always want more. We are never content. I found this out the hard way. But now I know that God has richly blessed me. I had just never taken the time to sit back and watch all the blessings he has bestowed in my life.

I completely agree with you: we're so blessed! But most of the time we only realize this when these blessings have left us and our lives.
Therefore, moments like the one you experienced are so valuable!

It's always good to be reminded just how blessed we are. May we never forget to thank Him for all He's done and has yet to do. Thanks for the reminder!

It's interesting to see how people in different situations have different opinions about certain things. You, for instance, consider your jobs a blessing because you you're in a situation where you really depend on them for finances. But someone else who doesn't necessarily need a job could possibly not be thankful at all for their job. So I think it's good to look at things from other people's perspectives sometimes in order to get a full picture.
